This makes it very easy to save money for a home in 2022. And with these cheaper homes also come cheaper homeowners insurance prices.
Allstate gives average rates under $2,000 for homes under $200,000 in Texas. Other insurance companies with similar rates include Safeco Insurance and Farmers Insurance. There are several other factors that determine the rates of your homeowners insurance, though, such as crime.
Texas does rank higher than the rest of the U.S. in home break-ins per year. This means that cities that have a lot of burglaries are going to have homes that cost more to insure. Finding Jobs in Texas
If you’re having a hard time finding a job, there are a lot of cities ripe with opportunities in Texas. Austin gets all the attention as one of the fastest-growing cities in the country because it has a lot of tech startups. Diversity in Texas
LGBTQ+ representation in Texas is a mixed bag, but there are plenty of accepting people if you know where to look. Cities like Austin rank in the top 10 for queer-friendly culture. This is not surprising as Austin is also one of the fastest-growing cities in the entire world.
With so many different people moving to Austin from various places, there is bound to be acceptance for all different types of people. Houston is home to the Montrose neighborhood, which has a rich LGBTQ+ tradition. Both cities make for a great place to live if you are non-straight and want to live a good life in Texas.
Texas is a large state, therefore it might take a little more research to find a city that fits your family’s needs. If you take the time to learn about the demographics of an area, you might be able to find a great place that suits you in Texas.
As far as racial diversity goes, Texas is one of the most non-white states in the country. Less than half of the state is white, with nearly 40% of the state being Hispanic. This is largely attributed to being so close to the Mexican border.
This diversity makes the state of Texas very fun to live in. You get to experience all different types of people and cultures. There are tons of Mexican cuisine, Southern barbecue, and more culinary creations to choose from.
