Reverse image search is a useful tool. Google Lens can be used to see more details about images. Now you can do all of this and more using Chrome on Android. Just enable the experimental flag feature and enable it.
Google Lens is Powerful
Google Lens offers more than a image reverse search service. You can search for the exact image by long-pressing on your screen. Then, you can tap Google for the image in Google. The service will analyze the image’s contents and make a recommendation. You can search for specific sections of the image.
Chrome for Android has recently added this feature. It can be a powerful tool to search images. The new ability can be enabled easily.
Open Google Chrome on Android. Type Chrome://flags into the address bar. The page will open. Type the following:
#context-menu-search-with-google-lens
You can then change the option to enabled in the dropdown menu.
After you’ve enabled this flag, tap on the Relaunchbutton located at the bottom. The feature will only be enabled if Chrome restarts.
You will now be able to search with Google Lens when you long-tap an existing image.
What’s Different?
The image below will be used as an example. Google Lens will analyze the image once you’ve searched with this method. You can see that it recognized the sunglasses and clothing in the above image. The search results can be found by tapping the respective section of the image. This will display results for similar sunglasses.
Tap the magnifying glasses on the left for more options. You can copy or translate text from the image. You can also find products and food options by clicking on the image.
This is an interesting use of Google Lens. It is great for recreation and research, but also for fun.
