Parler, a social media platform, has announced that its app is once again available to download from the Google Play Store, after being removed over a year and a half ago.
Since January 2021, Parler has been blocked from the play store.
Due to the lack of moderation on posts that incited violence around the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.
They stated: ‘We've worked hard to build a more feature-packed and engaging Google Play user experience while away from the service’.
According to Parler’s chief technology officer Sam Lipoff, joining now is the perfect time to rediscover the non-partisan platform where people can express themselves freely.
The app's reappearance on the Google store, according to Axios, is due to its recent modifications allowing users to block and report others.
As well as to actively monitor content for issues like violent speech.
After the 2020 election, Parler attracted a right-wing audience that complained about content moderation procedures on mainstream sites like Twitter and Facebook.
